Join us for our Huntington's disease community conference featuring presentations from well-renowned speakers in the Huntington's community.
This year we were really looking forward to returning to an in-person event. We had all the plans underway with many people from the community booked to attend. Unfortunately the hotel had made a double booking and had to cancel on us. We tried our hardest to look at other options such as alternative weekends and even other cities but unfortunately we were unable to find somewhere suitable on the day that all our key speakers could attend.
We are now hosting the event online which we hope opens it up to even more members of the community who may not have been able to attend the in-person event. You can find all the details about our speakers and register for your free ticket below.
Saturday 4 November
We will be joined by a number of well-renowned speakers in the Huntington's community, with extensive knowledge of care, support, and research including:
- Cath Stanley, Chief Executive of the Huntington's Disease Association with an overview of 2022/2023 for the charity.
- Professor Hugh Rickards, Neuropsychiatrist and Chair of the Huntington's Disease Association talking about future plans for the charity and leading the Annual General Meeting*, which includes the appointment of trustees, auditors, and a financial update by our Treasurer, Nick Heath.
- Charlotte Conn on living with Huntington's disease, a personal perspective.
- Dr Akshay Nair, Consultant Neuropsychiatrist at St. George's Hospital, discussing mental health and Huntington's disease.
- Professor Ed Wild, Professor of Neurology at UCL, Associate Director of UCL Huntington's Disease Centre, and a Consultant Neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, providing an update on current and proposed research trials for Huntington's disease.
