This professional development course provides a unique opportunity to learn directly from specialist clinicians and practitioners with extensive experience in Huntington’s disease, while connecting virtually with fellow professionals from a range of disciplines.
This course offers an in-depth, multidisciplinary overview of Huntington’s disease, supporting professionals to develop a deeper understanding of both the clinical and psychosocial aspects of care. Topics include:
Genetics of Huntington’s disease
Neuropsychology and cognitive change
Psychiatry and mental health
Physiotherapy and mobility
Occupational therapy
Speech and language therapy
Palliative and end-of-life care
Sessions are delivered by specialist healthcare professionals with recognised expertise in Huntington’s disease, including clinicians working in neurology, psychology, psychiatry, and allied health professions.
This course supports professional development but is not formally CPD-accredited.
On completion of the course, participants receive a certificate confirming that they have undertaken training approved by the Huntington’s Disease Association, supporting continuing professional development and enhanced clinical practice.
The course will run from 9:00am until 15:15pm on 23 and 24 November, and will run from 09:00am - 1:00pm on 25 November.
