The event is open to anyone affected by Huntington's disease in Dorset, Hampshire and surrounding areas. Our Youth Worker, Jack Crockford, from our Youth Engagement Service - HDYES will be on hand to take part in activities with the children throughout the day.
The day will allow you to meet other people and families in a similar situation to you, the opportunity to listen to informative and valuable talks on testing, family planning and advanced Huntington's, followed by relaxing yoga and art sessions towards the end of the day.
The event has been funded by the Huntington's Disease Association Hampshire and Isle of Wight Branch.

Talk on Genetic testing and family planning
Dr Sue Ingamells - Consultant obstetrician and Gynaecologist - TFP Wessex Fertility Centre
Sue has a specialist interest in IVF and an extensive knowledge of Huntington's disease, embryology, and genetic testing. This talk will cover preparation for IVF, IVF processes, embryo creation, embryo biopsy and genetic testing.

Cathy Lyon End of Life Doula - and Huntington's Disease Association Trustee
Cathy brings a wealth of knowledge of working with people who have Huntington's disease and their families - Cathy shares her experience of supporting people who have advanced Huntington's disease and the care and professionals who should be involved.

Maureen is currently caring for her third-generation family member who has Huntington's disease. She talks about her experience and support from Rowans Hospice.
