This year we celebrated our third annual Odds And Socks Day.

Odds And Socks Day is an inclusive fundraiser and awareness day. Members of the community, professionals, schools, workplaces, staff and even furry friends get involved in the day.

The theme of 'odd socks' has been used to represent the 50:50 odds of inheriting the faulty Huntington's gene from a parent with the disease.

This year, thanks to our community, we raised over £10,000. We were overwhelmed with how many of you took part. Individuals, families, work places, care homes, hospitals and schools took part in this year's Odds And Socks Day. Some of the community were wearing and sharing pictures of themselves in their odd socks, others hosted events, competitions and bake sales.

One of our fundraisers, Carlie encouraged the clients at her salon to get involved:

By wearing odd socks to help raise awareness of the 50/50 odds of inheriting Huntington’s. I would really appreciate it if any of my clients booked in this day can wear odd socks. I will also be doing a cake sale!

This year lots of care homes took part including the Manse Care Nursing Home. They hosted an event for their residents and relatives:

The Manse Care will be proudly taking part in Odds And Socks Day on Friday the 27 February 2026. Residents and staff will be joining in the fun by wearing odd socks to show their support and celebrate inclusion and individuality. To make the day even sweeter, we will also be holding a bake sale, with lots of tasty treats to enjoy while raising awareness together. We’re really looking forward to a fun, colourful day that everyone can take part in!

Thank you to everyone who took part or donated to this year's campaign. The money raised goes directly into supporting families affected by Huntington's disease.
