If you have lost a loved one to Huntington's disease, please join us for fortnightly bereavement peer support sessions.

Losing someone to Huntington's disease can bring complex feelings and experiences that others may not always understand. You may be coping with grief alongside memories of caring, changes in relationships, or the impact that Huntington's disease has had on your life.

These small group sessions, spanning across six fortnightly online meetings, provide a confidential and supportive space to share experiences, be heard, and connect with others who understand the unique challenges of bereavement and Huntington's disease.

The group will be facilitated by a bereavement counsellor as well as Specialist Advisers from the Huntington's Disease Association and will cover areas such as understanding grief and Huntington's, coping with complicated feelings, continuing bonds and caring for yourself and living forward.

Sessions will include:

  • Week one: Welcome and sharing stories
  • Week two: Understanding grief and Huntington's specific experiences
  • Week three: Coping with complicated feelings
  • Week four: Continuing bonds and meaning making
  • Week five: Caring for yourself and living forward
  • Week six: Session endings, support and next steps

As these sessions are new, we would welcome your feedback.

These sessions are free to attend.
