We offer training to any professional who works with someone affected by Huntington’s that is willing to learn, these include:

What training do we offer?

We offer a range of training for professionals from one-to-one to group courses to free webinars. Each month we hold free-to-attend 'Overview of Huntington's disease' online sessions specifically for professionals in a care setting.

Training session with a Specialist Huntington's Disease Adviser

This training session arranged specifically for your team is facilitated by one of our Specialist Huntington's Disease Advisers and takes place either face-to-face or via Zoom. Each session lasts up to two hours and costs £80. Attendees will receive a certificate on completion.

Understanding Huntington's disease three-day course

A three-day extensive online course for those who wish to learn more about Huntington's disease. The course includes presentations from multiple professionals including genetics up to end of life care.

Webinars

HD Champions course

A course aimed at care staff working with people with Huntington's disease who would like to gain a deeper knowledge of Huntington's disease and develop their practice. We run this course with small groups of care staff to promote discussion and full participation.

Introduction to Huntington's course

This course will provide an understanding of what Huntington's disease is, how it progresses, and the impact it has on both the body and mind. You’ll learn about the genetic basis of the disease and how it affects movement, cognition, mood, and behaviour. By the end of this course, it is hoped you will feel better equipped to provide compassionate, informed care.
