Your Membership

Did you know as a member of the Huntington’s Disease Association you now have the right to vote on important matters for the charity? What does this mean? Being a member of the Huntington’s Disease Association means:

  • You have the ability to influence the direction of the charity's activities and priorities.
  • You are at the heart of the charity having a say in how it is run, including voting for the board of trustees.
  • You can attend the Annual General Meeting, and receive a copy of our Annual Report and Summary of Accounts.
  • Being a voting member means you are playing an active role in making a positive impact in the lives of people affected by Huntington’s disease. 
  • According to our Memorandum and Articles of Association, in the event of the charity being wound up, members are liable to contribute an amount not exceeding £1.00 for payment of debts and liabilities of the charity.


Membership

Membership is open to people living with Huntington’s disease, carers, families and anyone who wants to learn more about Huntington’s disease. As a member, you will receive regular eNewsletters and other communications from the charity, meaning you will be among the first to hear about our work, news, events and opportunities to get involved. You will automatically become eligible to vote at our Annual General Meeting. As well as being eligible to vote at our AGM, members will receive a copy of our Annual Report and Summary of Accounts.

Professional membership

If you’re a professional working with people affected by Huntington’s disease, you can join the Huntington’s Disease Association as a professional member and get access to expert information, invitations to our events and our regular eNewsletters. You will automatically become eligible to vote at our Annual General Meeting. As well as being eligible to vote at our AGM, members will receive a copy of our Annual Report and Summary of Accounts.

Gain further knowledge and understanding of Huntington’s disease, information on our seminars and conferences, and latest updates on Huntington’s research. It costs just £30 for lifetime membership.
