Join Dr Sarah Gunn for an online conversation about living in a Huntington's disease family and navigating life at risk.

Although Dr Gunn has spent many years supporting people affected by Huntington's disease through her clinical and research work, this will be the first time she has spoken publicly about her own family's experience of the condition.

In this event, Sarah will reflect on how growing up in a Huntington's disease family and living at risk have shaped both her personal and professional life. She will discuss the importance of community, the challenges of supporting others while carrying your own experiences, and the insights she has gained through her work and lived experience.

Topics will include:

  • Growing up in a Huntington's disease family
  • Living at risk of Huntington's disease
  • Mental health and emotional wellbeing
  • Supporting others while managing personal experiences of the condition
  • The value of the Huntington's disease community
  • Lessons from research, clinical practice and lived experience

Sarah will also discuss themes from her new book, Coping with Huntington's, which explores practical and psychological approaches to living with Huntington's disease. Find out more about the book and access a 20% discount here.
