We are pleased to announce we have charity places in the Great North Run 2024.
Event information
The Great North Run is the biggest half marathon in the world with over 57,000 runners taking part in the 13.1-mile half marathon. From the beginning, the Great North Run has been a celebration of what makes the North East great. With thousands of supporters lining the course, hundreds of volunteers helping you along the way and runners just like you, who are the embodiment of dedication and determination for whatever cause they are running for. So come and join #TeamHDA on this 13.1-mile journey from Newcastle’s city centre to the coast in South Shields.

If you get your own place
That’s great news – you can still join #TeamHDA and raise vital funds for our life-changing services. There’s no minimum sponsorship amount, as you have purchased your own place, we just ask that you raise what you can and to help those in the Huntington’s community! Email the team at fundraising@hda.org.uk to let the team know, and you will receive a fundraising pack.
If you are successful in your entry, you will receive:
- A free sports vest or t-shirt to wear on the day with your name printed on the front.
- A welcome email and fundraising toolkit from our friendly fundraising team.
- Support from our dedicated fundraising team to help you reach your target.
- An invite to the Huntington's Disease Fundraising Facebook group
