This beautiful amaryllis was drawn by a member of the Huntington's community.
Georgina is the artist and creator behind Jolly Wild designs and gifts. Georgina who has a background in design and a passion for animals and wildlife started drawing the animals on her grandparent's farm.
After finding out that her family was impacted by Huntington's disease, Georgina wanted to get the most out of life. She decided to take the leap and start her own business selling the designs she had drawn on household products such as mugs, aprons and tea towels. This is when Jolly Wild was formed.
My dad was diagnosed with Huntington’s disease in 2009, I think it really puts perspective on your life – to go out there and live and enjoy every moment, because we really don’t know what is around the corner. So I made a promise to myself that I would live my best life every day. In 2020, I threw caution to the wind in lockdown and started Jolly Wild. I wanted to do something that was going to make myself and others smile.
The amaryllis collection
We wanted to use the amaryllis design on products because the amaryllis is such a powerful symbol for Huntington's disease. The amaryllis symbolises Huntington's disease around the world and represents the strength and resilience of the community.
Our new products are a great way to raise awareness, show your support for the community and help us raise valuable funds so that we can continue to deliver our services.

It brings me great joy to be able to paint things that make other people happy. I felt a huge sense of pride to be able to support the Huntington's Disease Association by creating this amaryllis design for them. I know the amazing work the do due to my own personal links.
