When the Huntington's community, charity and researchers unite for our annual Huntington's conference.

Our Huntington's Community Conference returned to Crewe Hall for the second year running. Crewe Hall is a beautiful, accessible venue that offers all that we need to run a successful event.

There was not an empty chair in the room as we shared positive charity updates, heard emotional personal stories and had lots of interesting research updates, including the much-anticipated talk from Professor Ed Wild regarding recent research news.

Huntington's disease community conference (20)

On Saturday, guests are invited to settle in with a warm drink and light refreshments, take time to explore the stalls around the venue, and connect with fellow attendees. The day then continues in the main hall with a series of engaging talks followed by opportunities to network during lunch and refreshment breaks. Under 18s are taken out during the day with our Youth Engagement Service and join with other young people in the local area for activities.

Those staying for the evening can check in to their rooms after the conference before rejoining us for an evening of drinks, a raffle, dinner, and a disco. Another great opportunity to meet with other families.

On Sunday, guests return for a range of workshops focused on mindfulness techniques, crafts, and learning more about living well with Huntington’s. The weekend concludes with one final shared lunch together before heading home.

This weekend means so much to individuals and families. It's a chance to connect with others in a similar situation, learn more about research and what the charity is doing and meet with branches, support groups and other families.

The combination of talks, touching on personal experience and research trials was a good balance. All experiences discussed, from different stages, ages, carers, family, test results etc. It is very inclusive for all.

Professor Ed Wild - Research update

Due to the nature of Ed Wild's talk and so many people across the country who want to see it, we were fortunate enough to record it so that we could share it with the wider Huntington's disease community.

Please note that future annual Huntington's conferences will not be recorded. If you are interested in hearing about what the charity has achieved, has planned, research updates and personal stories, as well as the opportunity to meet with other families affected by Huntington's then please join us next year.

Save the date - 7 and 8 November 2026
