This is a three-day online certificated course designed for healthcare and social care professionals working with individuals and families affected by Huntington’s disease.

This professional development course provides a unique opportunity to learn directly from specialist clinicians and practitioners with extensive experience in Huntington’s disease, while connecting virtually with fellow professionals from a range of disciplines.


What the course covers:

This course offers an in-depth, multidisciplinary overview of Huntington’s disease, supporting professionals to develop a deeper understanding of both the clinical and psychosocial aspects of care. Topics include:

  • Genetics of Huntington’s disease

  • Neuropsychology and cognitive change

  • Psychiatry and mental health

  • Physiotherapy and mobility

  • Occupational therapy

  • Speech and language therapy

  • Palliative and end-of-life care


Course presenters and expertise:

Sessions are delivered by specialist healthcare professionals with recognised expertise in Huntington’s disease, including clinicians working in neurology, psychology, psychiatry, and allied health professions. 


Certification:

On completion of the course, participants receive a certificate confirming that they have undertaken training approved by the Huntington’s Disease Association, supporting continuing professional development and enhanced clinical practice.
