Date/time
This course is aimed at care staff working with people with Huntington's disease who would like to gain a deeper knowledge of Huntington's disease and develop their practice.
What does the course entail?
This course has three parts:
- Participants complete a self-directed online study module. This takes about 1.5 hours to complete.
- A follow-up video call with advisers from the Huntington's Disease Association takes place to reinforce what has been learnt in the online module. The call will allow questions, and to facilitate discussion. At the end of the call, participants are set a reflective task to relate what has been learnt to their own experiences of working with people with Huntington's disease. This session lasts 1.5 hours.
- A second follow-up video call takes place. In this session, we discuss the outcomes from the reflective task. We then look at applying knowledge to a variety of scenarios via case studies. This session will last one hour.
We run this course with small groups of care staff to promote discussion and full participation.
To complete the course all participants must successfully complete the self-directed online study module and attend both follow-up video calls.
All participants will receive a certificate on completion.
How much does it cost?
