Virgin London Marathon 2011

An extremely sunny Sunday 17th April saw the world famous London Marathon take place. Ayla Besser, Head of Fundraising at the Huntington’s Disease Association was at Stand H in Horseguards Parade to meet our marathon runners. Our five gold bond runners; Adam Hollyoake, Emma Metcalf, Harry Golder, James Kirby and Miles Monaghan ran alongside a further 8 runners who had gained entry through the public ballot to raise money for the HDA. These runners were; Brian Davies, Hannah Edwards, Jennifer Townshend, Paul Body, Shane Dempsey, Stacey Annis, Tom Pullinger and Trevor George. Our runners finished in the following times:
- Adam Hollyoake - 04:47:50
- Brian Davies - 04:02:03
- Emma Metcalf - 05:41:37
- Hannah Edwards - 05:51:20
- Harry Golder - 05:36:13
- James Kirby - 03:51:08
- Jennifer Townshend - 04:11:56
- Miles Monaghan - 05:48:21
- Paul Body - 03:16:58
- Shane Dempsey - 05:20:22
- Stacey Annis - 05:26:04
- Tom Pullinger - 04:27:56
- Trevor George - 04:03:40
We are so grateful to each and every one of our marathon runners and the tremendous amount of hard work they have put in, both in the lead up to the event and on the day. They have put an exceptional amount of effort in and done a fantastic job in raising money to support the HDA. We’re unsure as of yet how much money has been raised from this year’s London Marathon but we’d like to thank our runners in advance. If you are interested in running the 2012 Virgin London Marathon to support the Huntington’s Disease Association, we are now accepting applications. We will be accepting applications for our Gold Bond places up until 30th September 2011. If you would like an application form, please contact our events officer on Tel: 0151 331 5445 or Email: [email protected]
