Stem cell stories: an unusual writing competition

EuroStemCell, and EU-funded stem cell project, is running a competition for non-fiction writing about stem cells and regenerative medicine.We’ve got some quite unusual categories compared to the typical science writing competition:
- imaginative science writing;
- graphic non-fiction;
- non-fiction poetry.
We’ve got a great panel of judges, including for example the well-known science fiction author Ken McLeod. First prize in each category is 300 Euros and dissemination of the work by EuroStemCell. There are also two runners' up prizes of 50 Euros in each category.
The deadline for entries is 30th June and full details, including more information about the categories, judging criteria and the full judging panel, are available here:
http://www.eurostemcell.org/stem-cell-competition
The competition is open to everybody worldwide regardless of age, scientific expertise or writing experience (with just a couple of exceptions: professionally published writers, poets or graphic artists and not allowed to enter; individuals named on the EuroStemCell grant, their employees and families are also excluded)
