Special thanks to the Television & Radio Industries Club (TRIC)

Cath Stanley and I travelled to a very wet London on Thursday 7th July 2011 as guests of the President of TRIC, Tony Hadley. The venue was the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane and we mingled with a few celebrities before being called for the excellent Charity Lunch.
The event was absolutely fantastic. Thanks to Karen from TRIC for keeping us informed and making the necessary arrangements for us, and to our superb hosts on the charity table. They made us feel most welcome. Our sincere thanks and deep gratitude go to the people who so generously gave their time and money to help us in our work. The donation of £10,000 will be a very welcome income and help us to continue to support families with Huntington’s disease across England and Wales. A big thank you must go to ex-president Tony Hadley who has supported our charity for a number of years and I know this is close to his heart. Without his help, we would not have been a part of this day, as he nominated the HDA as his charity of the year. It is obvious from the comments made on the day that he has been an inspiration to everyone at TRIC. His wife Alison must also be thanked for the support she has given Tony and the Huntington’s Disease Association over the past years. We wish TRIC continued success in the excellent work they do and hope that we may be remembered again in the future. On behalf of the Huntington’s Disease Association, we would like to extend our appreciation and thanks to all involved in this event.
