Sales of Hercules amaryllis shows strength of Huntington’s community
We are delighted to announce our partnership with Marshalls Garden who are selling the Hercules amaryllis bulb this winter all in the name of Huntington’s disease and with all proceeds will go the Huntington’s Disease Association!
Why the Hercules amaryllis?
Named after the revered hero, Hercules, from Greek mythology, this amaryllis was specially chosen by our staff and the team at Marshalls Garden to represent, not only the international symbol for Huntington’s but also the strength and resilience of the Huntington’s community day in and day out!
About the amaryllis
An indoor bulb, this bright salmon-pink amaryllis has elegant large blooms atop single flowering stems. ‘Hercules’ will often produce up to three separate stems from just one bulb and is perfect for adding a splash of colour to your home throughout winter.
Where can you buy one?
You can visit Marshalls Garden’s website to purchase an amaryllis bulb for £14.99 or use the code HERC20 for a special 2 for £20 deal! You will receive your amaryllis bulb (approx. 26-28cm in size) with compost and a decorative gold plastic pot to give you everything you need to immediately plant and allow it to start growing!
Why buy a bulb?
Displaying this beautiful flower in your home shows solidarity with the Huntington’s community, representing their strength in the face of Huntington’s disease. The bulb also makes for a wonderful and sentimental gift for your loved ones while raising much-needed funds for the charity. These are very uncertain times for everyone due to COVID-19 and as a rare disease charity, we need as much support as we can get.
