New quick reference guide for Huntington’s disease

We have collaborated with St Andrew’s Healthcare to launch a mini guide to understanding the effects of Huntington’s disease
The aim of the guide is to help carers and healthcare staff recognise and respond to the wide ranging symptoms of Huntington’s, which affect the way people think, feel, speak, move, swallow and eat.
St Andrew’s Key Account Manager, Rob Walsh, explained: “We have got together to raise awareness about the physical, cognitive and emotional effects of living with HD, to help healthcare staff and carers understand the range of symptoms and the importance of specialist care.”
The guide was published to coincide with Huntington’s Disease Awareness Week, which ran this year from 15 – 21 May, and is available to download or as a paper booklet.

Or request paper copy to be sent to you in the post by email [email protected] or telephone 0151 331 5444.
