Huntington's Disease Association celebration to reward Health and Social Care Workers and Fundraisers announced for May!

As the Huntington's Disease Association celebrates its 50th birthday of supporting people with Huntington’s disease we are delighted to announce this year’s awards ceremony will be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Liverpool on Friday 20 May 2022 at 1.30 pm.
The award ceremony celebrates the wonderful supporters and fundraisers who are vital in making sure the Huntington's Disease Association continues in its work to provide a better life to anyone affected by Huntington’s disease. This year we have added an award to reflect the hard work and dedication of people who work in the Health and Social Care section with a new award called, Excellence in health and social care award.
We are delighted Charles Sabine OBE will be hosting the event, Emmy Award-winning television journalist Charles was awarded an OBE in January 2022 for his part in empowering and enabling patients and families facing Huntington's disease, to step out of the Huntington’s Disease associations of shame, stigma and fear.
Charles Sabine OBE said,
“ I am honoured to be the host for this year’s ceremony and I am looking forward to meeting all who have worked tirelessly to raise funds for the Huntington's Disease Association. It is my mission to give people with Huntington's disease a voice and the right to be seen.”
Joanne Dobbie, Head of Fundraising for Huntington's Disease Association said,
“We are pleased this year’s event will be held live at the Radisson Blu hotel in Liverpool. After holding the last two events virtually this year’s event with the attendance of Charles Sabine will be that extra bit special. This year we wanted to give extra appreciation to the Health and social care workers who have done so much for people with Huntington’s disease with the addition of a new award category. Excellence in Health and Social Care.”
