Share your story for Huntington’s disease awareness month this May

This May, for Huntington's disease awareness month we are working on a campaign called Huntington’s in Mind to shine a light on the mental health challenges faced by the Huntington’s community.
As part of this, we’re planning various activities including the making of short films and the development of case studies. As such, we are looking for people from our community who are happy to share their Huntington’s story and are either willing to be put forward for interviews in print and online media or to have a short film made about their experiences.
For the films, we are hoping to be able to capture a number of different experiences, which may include someone who might have had trouble accessing mental health services or has struggled with their mental health as a direct or indirect result of Huntington’s disease. The videos will be used to highlight the importance of access to mental health services and to raise awareness with Health Care Professionals and policymakers.
If you are willing to help us with this, please be aware that:
- Filming will take place at the end of March/early April so those interested will need to be available for at least one full day during this period.
- Due to the limited scope of the project, we will be unable to film everyone who puts themselves forward.
If you are interested yourself or know someone else who might be interested in either or both activities mentioned above, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

How else can I get involved?
We would love to hear your story, you can write a blog or a diary entry or share some photos with us! Even if we don't use it as part of our awareness month we would still love to share your stories.
