Carer well-being

We have brought together a series of well-being resources for you, the carers. It is so important, as a carer, that you look after your own health and wellbeing as well as the person you care for.

Carers face physical and emotional challenges that can easily restrict their lives. Older carers bear the responsibility of looking after their loved ones and themselves, while also navigating the changes that age can bring. If you are an older carer, it is important to practice self-care to look after your physical and mental health.

We hope you find these resources useful.

Guided relaxation

Below is a selection of guided meditation videos and soundscapes to help you relax and take time to unwind. Take a beach or woodland walk with our Specialist Adviser, Poppy Hill, or sit back and enjoy a relaxing meditation soundscape. These resources aim to clear your head and make room for pure relaxation.

Yoga practice

We have teamed up with Amanda Turner Yoga to bring you a selection of instructional yoga videos. In these videos, Amanda guides you through a series of postures, breathing techniques and meditation to aid relaxation and exercise the body. Each session is aimed at people of all abilities and includes chair yoga, yoga for the spine and hips and restorative practice.

Nutrition advice

Having a healthy balanced diet is extremely important for the older carer. What you eat can massively affect your mental and physical health, that's why we teamed up with Nutritional Therapist, Evie Whitehead, to bring you a selection of tasty videos all about considering what you eat and maintaining a balanced diet.
