Huntington’s Disease Association marks its 50th anniversary 1971 – 2021.
This is a special year for the Huntington’s Disease Association, as we turn 50! It has been 50 years since the first families affected by Huntington’s disease in the UK reached out to each other and met for the first time. From those early beginnings, the Huntington’s Disease Association was born. Since then, with your help, we have supported thousands of people and families affected by Huntington’s disease from diagnosis through treatment and beyond.
To celebrate we will take you on a journey through time to learn all about the charity's history whilst raising awareness of Huntington's disease. We're also hosting anniversary-themed fundraising and activities, the sale of a commemorative pin badge and, later in the year, the sale of a beautiful amaryllis bulb in a gold pot. The amaryllis flower is our logo and a well-known symbol for Huntington’s disease around the world.
We're here to help people living with Huntington's disease live a better life but we need your help to make this happen. Join our celebrations and help us to make this our best ever year.
