Location: Home-based in the South West off England (covering South West England and South Wales)
Salary: £29,434 per annum
We are looking for a Youth Worker to provide support to children and young people (aged 8 – 25) with Huntington’s disease in their families and to enhance the development of our Youth Service. The role is 35 hours per week and will be home-based (South West England) but will involve extensive travel within the region and occasional travel across England and Wales. The post holder must be a car owner with a clean UK licence.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and caring person who is dedicated and committed to the welfare of young people in families affected by Huntington’s disease. You will need to have skills in working with young people in complex situations and in working in partnership with other agencies to support them. The main responsibilities will be to provide a professional, confidential and supportive service to young people, their families and professionals.
