A Crossroads service is about giving time - improving the lives of
carers by giving them time to be themselves and have a break from their
caring responsibilities. Our aim is to provide a reliable service, tailored
to meet the individual needs of each carer and the person they are caring
for. We have schemes in most parts of England and Wales, which provide a
range of services to meet local needs.

Counsel and Care is a national charity getting the best care and
support for older people, their families and carers. They do this by
providing advice, information and financial support and by influencing
policies, services and funding.

Young Carers Initiative

The Children's Society National Young Carers Initiative
is part of the Include Project. It provides information,
advice and training to anyone who works with young carers and their
families. It receives funding from the Department of Children, Schools and
Families and the Department of Health. It is also funded by Hampshire
County Council to deliver development work across Hampshire.
DAZU Young Carers Project

DAZU is a support project for young carers or
children with caring responsibilities.
They publish the Directory of Support Services
which includes contact information on self-help organisations, counseling
services for young people, transport, respite care, benefits advice, Social
Services teams, family support and Good Neighbour Schemes.
