Statement regarding results of Lax 101 trial

Members will know that the effect of this drug has been studied in a trial. Some members may have participated in the study. The results of the study have been published and discussed at a number of meetings.
The drug company is optimistic about the results and presents them positively. However, clinicians and scientists looking at the data are more cautious about the interpretation.
The UK Huntington's Disease Network Steering Group considered the data and asked us to publish this statement. We will be supportive of further studies aimed to clarify the results obtained so far and we are pleased to note that this is being taken forward.
