October 2005

Congratulations to Sarah Winckless - Gold Medal Winner, World Rowing Championship, Japan 2005.

October 2004

We are thrilled to share the wonderful news that a member of the Huntington's Disease Association won a bronze medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics. Sarah Winckless, the British Olympic Double Skulls Rower, won a Bronze Medal in the most exciting race at Athens.

Prior to her departure Sarah shared her family's story in the Daily Mail. In the article Sarah discussed her positive predictive test, along with the fact that her mother - who has had a diagnosis of Huntington's disease - was looking forward to travelling to Athens and watching Sarah compete. We are so pleased that she was able to watch Sarah receive her Olympic medal.

Congratulations Sarah - we are sure your story will have inspired many other HDA members.
