2011 Virgin London Marathon

2010 Virgin London Marathon
Sunday 25th April 2010 saw the world famous Virgin London Marathon. Helen Santini, Regional Care Adviser, and Becky Davis, Branch and Events Co-ordinator from the HDA set up our banners and balloons at Stand H in Horseguards Parade, in preparation to greet our Marathon runners.

This year we had 6 Gold Bond winners; Toni Hadley, Mark Steer, Paul Hooper, Martin Saunders, Michael Reader and John Mangion. We also had a further 4 runners who had secured their own places in the London Marathon Ballot: Maggie Stokes, Charlotte Blum, Rachel Taylor and Richard Feltham.

We are sincerely grateful to every one of our runners for the sheer hard work they have put in, both in the lead up to and during the event, but also for their tremendous efforts to raise money to support our work. The HDA are very proud of you all, thank you!
It is too early to say how much money has been raised at this year’s Virgin London Marathon for the HDA, but current indications show that it will be in excess of £20,000! Thank you to all of our runners and their supporters for raising so much money to support our work.
As you can see from the photographs, everyone was delighted to have completed the Marathon and many thanked the Association for being given the opportunity to take part and raise money for the HDA.
